Sylvie Simard presents « Women of Yesterday ». Her sculptures are representative of ladies from another time and illustrates their daily lives. Each of them is the expression of "the soul that inhabits them" by the movement that the characters transmit.

The exhibit « Women of Yesterday » leads us to discover eight female silhouettes with lines and movements of yesteryear. Symbiosis and homage to life, they carry specific characteristics reflected in their appearance and the actions they put forward.

Significant of their way of life, the sculptures illustrate the daily life of another era. Each of them is the expression of "the soul that inhabits it" by the movement that the character transmits in the action that it makes his own.

A young retired for a few years now, Sylvie Simard has chosen to tame the sculpture of various inspiring characters. She has always felt the desire to do things differently in a spirit of recuperation and creativity.

The life-size sculptures which the artist creates are fabricated with vintage mannequins, old clothes, etc. The latter represents female characters, witnesses of yesterday's life.
