« Le retour des tourneurs sur bois ». The woodturners return after a resounding success in 2019! The group of woodturners invite the public to discover their new creations which rival each other in originality.

After the resounding success in 2019, the Woodturners are back with a special guest, Mrs Marie Paré, who has the particularity of making intarsia. The purpose of the exhibition is always the same, that of making known the art of woodturning which has existed for millennia. In recent decades, considerable development has propelled this art to unimaginable changes. The members of this group try to bring out all the beauty of each piece of wood that nature gave us by showing around fifty pieces.

The artists are all members of the association « Les Amis Tourneurs de l’Estrie (ATE) » with the exception of the special guest, Mrs Marie Paré. This association is an association of woodturners of all skill levels that promotes woodturning. Created by a few woodturners in early 2000s, the group now has more than sixty members. Thanks to the know-how of each of the members, more and more exceptional pieces are created and made available for exhibitions. In addition to promoting the exchange of knowledge between woodturners, the meetings promote social contacts in the region and develop a love of wood. Originally from different professions, everyone brings their life experience and share as well as feed their knowledge to apply it to woodturning.

The participants in this exhibit are: Yvon Gélinas, Pierre Noël, Bertrand Lisée, Claude Adam, Gérard Tardif, Bruno Paquette, Alexandre Dionne, Alain Legault, Denis Gaudreau and guest Marie Paré.
