To be inspired by the spirit of adventure, to let yourself be guided by your instinct, by the scents and beauties that surround us, this is what the exhibit “Parfum d’altitude” proposes.

To be inspired by the spirit of adventure, to let yourself be guided by your instinct, by the scents and beauties that surround us, this is what the exhibit “Parfum d’altitude” proposes. The inner adventure that runs through it takes root between heaven and earth and is inspired by the entire splendor that is to be found within.

The goal of Julie Lessard is to present her conception of elements located in altitude, by their scents, to awaken a pleasant impression. A somewhat naïve vision, that suggests a pure, non-tangible emotional universe that is inspired by the very soul of the artist. Painting to communicate the beauty of nature in all its brilliance is what motivates her to continue in this vein.

« Parfum d’altitude” reflects the spontaneity, depth and energy of the artist. The fragrance emanating from her creations is the bridge between the observer and the artist. Born in Alma, Quebec in 1978, Julie Lessard took root close to nature, which inspired her creativity. A self-taught artist, she traveled the artistic world in various forms for years before stopping on the pictorial field. It is an adventure based on her vision of the beauty of nature through her senses, her thoughts and her soul; which she paints. The emotion emanates and transpires through the colors she uses, the arrangement and the movements of matter. Countless layering and mixtures of tones, vivid and intense colors describe the procedure of her work, all in a pictorial way. The paint is applied in an intuitive gesture, sometimes disorderly, sometimes structured just as her subject inspires her.
