La pierre et moi… au Musée

Musée Beaulne, 96 rue de l’Union, Coaticook, Québec, Canada, J1A 1Y9

A group of 8 stone sculptors composed of the following artists : Jacques Bénard, Louise Godin Drolet, Lise Gagnon, Marie Landry, Lise Deschâtelets, Jean-Paul Bertrand, Alain Dionne and Jean-Pierre Huot invite you to come and view his creations in the exhibit : "La pierre et moi… au Musée".

This exhibit features sculptures carved from different stones such as marble, alabaster, Indiana, soapstone, onyx, and many more. Its uniqueness and originality come from the fact that it offers visitors the pleasure of being seduced by STONE, its colors, its textures, its play of light and its shadows!

The eight artists are all members of “ASPM-Stone Sculptors”. This non-profit association was founded in 1993 in Montérégie and brought together ten sculptors. Two of the founding members, Alain Dionne and Louise Godin-Drolet, participate in that exhibit. From the beginning, the goal has always been to promote this ancestral and almost mystical art, dating back thousands of years. It now brings together around thirty sculptors from different regions of Quebec.

Despite the harsh period of the pandemic crisis, these artists have not stopped creating, sculpting and it is with pleasure that they present this exhibit.

  • Must see!

The opening will be held on Sunday July 4 at 2 p.m. The public and the press are cordially invited.
