Musée Beaulne, 96 rue de l’Union, Coaticook, Québec, Canada, J1A 1Y9

Christine Larivière's work echoes everything around us with sincere sensitivity and human warmth. Her favorite themes are scenes from everyday life. It is, in a way, an apology for the habits and customs of here and elsewhere.

In the « Ensemble » project, she tries to bring together all these stories that take place very close to home, in her country, her province, her city, as well as elsewhere, in other countries such as Colombia or Ecuador for example. Because these scenes are universal; being together concerns us all, regardless of our origin or our way of life.

Passionate about visual arts since her childhood, Christine Larivière loves exploring all kinds of mediums: from graphite to charcoal, from watercolor to oil paint. Originally from the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu region, she studied animation drawing, computer graphics, then did her classical studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Montreal before continuing her training with the great master Achilles Kouamé.

Now, a proud member of the Institute of Figurative Arts, Christine is also a member of AAPARS, as well as the Mondial Art Academia, where she was named “artist of the month of April 2024”.

Recipient of several scholarships and prizes over the years, this artist counts among her collectors a few cities including Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Brossard and Sainte-Anne-Des-Plaines, who fell under the spell of her work.

The grand opening will take place on Sunday July 7th, 2024 at 2 p.m. The public and the press are cordially invited.
